I am Kodai Tanaka, from Japan, biology major at Elmira College. The reason why I interested in taking a photograph is my pet, dog. Since dog’s life is shorter than human, I decided to take photographs of my pet as much as I can. Through this experience, I began to like to take a photograph. In this class, I tried to focus on taking a symmetrical photograph when I take a photograph of an artificial buildings. When I found an asymmetrical building, I tried to search for where the building looks like a symmetrical building. Also, I am interested in Night Shot. I aimed at taking drops of a light. The reason I attempted to do that is that I was influenced by Shingo Takei.
Shingo Takei was born in 1969, Japan. He has been interested in a starry sky since he was an elementary school student. He started taking a photograph of a starry sky when he went to Mongolia in the depth of winter to observe a total eclipse of the sun and the Hale-Bopp comet. Now, he mainly specializes in "Starryscape photography" or "Landscape photography with starry skies", focusing on his theme "Harmony between mankind and the stars".
